London band velettes have just released an excellent debut EP, “Colour Studies”. It’s indie pop with an experimental edge. The 5-track EP is a polished collection of songs.

“Wild Flowers” is the first track. Check out the official video on Youtube.

“Into The Blue”, the second song on the EP, is a dreamy track, with smooth vocals, a pulsating melody, and thought provoking lyrics.

It’s followed by “Study No. 1”, a short instrumental interlude.

“Heaven’s Rain”, the fourth track has an upbeat pop vibe with a catchy chorus.

The final song, “I See Melody”, is the longest on the EP and one of my favourites. You can see the official video for the song on Youtube.

The whole EP has a bit of a retro sound, which is quite addictive. I’d recommend it to anyone who likes indie/alternative pop.

The band are currently on tour and will also be playing the Willow Festival in June.

Get your copy of “Colour Studies” on iTunes, or Amazon. You can also stream it on Spotify or Soundcloud.

I think this is definitely a band to watch.
